How it works

From first call to finished job

  1. Step 1

    Tell us about your project

Fence type, rough length and height, the gates you need and your address. A photo or a quick sketch of the yard helps.

  2. Step 2

    Measure and plan

The fence line is measured and walked with you: corners, gates, slopes, trees and anything in the way, plus property lines and city or HOA rules.

  3. Step 3

    A clear quote

You get a quote that spells out the materials, height, length, gates and how the posts will be set, so it's easy to compare.

  4. Step 4

    Installation

Underground lines are marked through 811 before digging, then posts are set and panels, rails and gates go up. The site is cleaned up when the work is done.

FAQ

Social Bar item: common questions

What types of fencing do you install?

We specialize in the construction of a variety of fence types including; cedar, chain-link, aluminum and custom ornamental.

Driving Posts vs. Setting in Concrete (Q&A) Should fence posts be driven or set in concrete?

For most of a fence line, driven posts are the better option. For gates, or in loose or unstable soil, setting posts in concrete is recommended.

When should posts be set in concrete?

Installed correctly, driven PostMaster® posts are extremely strong. Because the surrounding soil stays undisturbed and tightly compacted, driven posts often hold better than posts set in concrete. Concrete is the better choice for: Gate posts, which carry extra weight and movement.

Which method does Broken Rail Fence recommend?

In most cases, a combination of both: driven posts along the main fence line, with concrete reserved for gates and other high-stress areas. PostMaster® Steel Posts are an Alternative to Wood and Metal Posts.
